CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT rifle team wrapped up the fall semester with a season-high aggregate score of 4,451, finishing ahead of John Jay College (4,380) and Plattsburgh State (0) - which did not field enough scoring competitors – in the DuPont Rifle Range on Sunday. Multiple members of the squad recorded season or personal-best performances in the victory.
 
THE BASICS:

• Overall Scores: MIT 4,451; John Jay 4,380; Plattsburgh State 0
• MIT Overall Record: 5-1

HOW IT HAPPENED - SMALLBORE:

• MIT posted a season-best score of 2,180, followed by John Jay at 2,114.
• Eleanor Yang shot a personal best of 565 to take the victory while William Knowlton was the runner up with a total of 554.
• The Engineers claimed fifth through eighth place as Danny Antonelli led the group with 533 points, followed by Phoebe Xu (529), Spruce Campbell (528), and Evia Rodriguez (521).
• Helena Dimiati ranked 13^th with a personal best of 502, edging out Avaneesh Pal by one point.
• Jayden Lin (489) and Perry Han (478) also had personal best performances as they placed 15^th and 17^th, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED – AIR RIFLE:

• The Engineers defeated the Bloodhounds by three points (2,269 – 2,266).
• Yang was the runner up with 580 points while Jialin Xu finished right behind her with a total of 571.
• Phoebe Xu shot a season-best 566 to place fifth, followed by Antonelli (560), and Knowlton (558).
• Campbell was 11^th (545 points), Dimiati was 13^th (541), Pal was 16^th (519), Han was 18^th (507), and Spencer Sindhusen rounded out MIT in 20^th place (420).
