BOSTON, Mass. -- No. 4 MIT men's track & field senior Sam Coutts (Pacific Grove, Calif.) and sophomore Tim Neumann (Downers Grove, Ill.) competed in the 3000m on Sunday at the BU Last Chance Indoor Qualifier at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Neumann finished 11th with a PR of 8:08.74, with Coutts a few seconds back in 15th in 8:19.84. Neumann moved up to 11th on the national list with the finish.
• Coutts remains at 20th overall thanks to his PR of 8:10.87 from earlier this season at the John Thomas Terrier Classic.

• MIT returns to action at the NEICAAA Championships next Friday and Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
