RALEIGH, N.C. — The MIT men's track & field team wrapped up competition on Saturday at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State University. The Engineers posted the second fastest Division III time nationally in the 4x100m Relay, while junior Nolan Clement (Fullerton, Calif.) set a new PR in the 200m.
THE BASICS:
HOW IT HAPPENED - RUNNING EVENTS:
- 200m: Clement was 40th with a PR of 21.60 seconds. Grad student Will Liu (San Marino, Calif.) finished 83rd in 22.05.
- 4x100m Relay: Grad student Mozi Guobadia (Baton Rouge, La.), Clement, Liu and junior Patrick Haertel (Cumming, Ga. ) finished 14th overall with a time of 41.14. The group was fourth in heat two.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Clement's time was also good for 15th on the Division III national list.
- The MIT 4x100m Relay posted the second fastest time in Division III.
NEXT UP:
- MIT will return north and compete next Saturday, April 5 at the UMass Flagship Opener in Amherst, Mass.
