Kendall Chase enters her third full season as an assistant coach of the women's lightweight crew team in 2025-26 after serving as the interim assistant coach during the Spring of 2023.

Chase and head coach Amelia Patton were named the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Lightweight Co-Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024-25. The MIT coaching staff shared the honor with the Harvard Radcliffe lightweight coaching staff. The MIT women's lightweights won a pair of medals at the IRA National Championship, as the Varsity 4+ earned national runner-up honors and the 2x claimed bronze medal winning performance in the Women's Lightweight Varsity 2x Grand Final. The silver medal performance in the V4+ was the best result for the lightweight four since a runner-up performance at the 2023 IRA National Championship. MIT's 2024 season also included victories in the singles and pairs events at the Knecht Cup as well as a standout performance at the Dad Vail Regatta that saw MIT win five medals across four events.

A member of the United States National Rowing Team from 2011-2021, Chase was a seven-time National Team member and a five-time World Champion. Representing Team USA at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, she trained full-time at the USRowing Training Center from 2017-2021, medaling at the 2017 World Rowing Cup II and competing at the 2017 World Championships. Chase also competed three times at the Under-23 World Championships, as well as the 2011 and 2012 Junior World Championships.

A 2016 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Chase graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies. She was the captain of the women's varsity rowing team, where she claimed two NCAA Championships and three PAC 12 titles. A two-time PAC 12 Athlete of the Year, Chase was also named the PAC 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year as she was also a two-time First Team All-American, a two-time CRCA All-Academic First Team member and a four-year varsity letter winner.
