Lauren Dellipoali enters her fifth season at MIT in 2025-26. She is the primary contact for 10 programs as well as the secondary contact for football. Dellipoali was promoted to the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications in July of 2025 after serving as the Athletics Communications Assistant from 2021-25.
Dellipoali is a two-time Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) SID of the Year and the D3SIDA Athletic Communicator of the Year. She successfully nominated and promoted the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year, Karenna Groff of the MIT women's soccer team as well as two College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic Team Members of the Year.Â
During her time with the Engineers, Dellipoali has served as the primary media contact for numerous conference and NCAA Championship events including the 2023 NCAA Softball Regionals and Super Regionals, the 2021 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament first four rounds, and the first two rounds of the 2022 and 2023 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. She also promoted the MIT Women's Swimming and Diving team which won the 2025 National Championship.Â
She has served on the steering committee on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Group since 2023, and in 2024 was named to the board of East-Comm as the College Division Representative.Â
Most recently, Dellipoali worked as the Athletic Communications Assistant at Johns Hopkins University (Md.) from 2017-2019, where she was the primary contact for nine varsity teams. In addition to her regular-season work, she provided coverage and social media content for the women’s basketball team’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament in six years, as well as the baseball team’s appearance in the 2019 College World Series.

Dellipoali began her collegiate athletics career at Wesleyan University (Conn.), where she served as the athletic communications intern from 2015-2017 and assisted with publicizing the department’s 29 varsity programs. Prior to Wesleyan, she served in two roles as ESPN from 2013-2015 and as a highlights intern for NBC Sports for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

A 2012 graduate of Syracuse University (N.Y.), Dellipoali earned her Bachelor of Science degree in television, radio and film. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology, with a minor in management studies.
