Tyler Field joined the men's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach for analytics prior to the 2026-27 season.
Field brings professional basketball analytics experience from his time with Black Ops Basketball and HD Intelligence. At Black Ops Basketball, Field created film and statistical breakdowns for NBA trainer Chris Brickley's clients that were integrated into player development sessions. At HD Intelligence (HDI), Field led the creation of data-driven deliverables for several Division I men's basketball teams, which included scouting reports, postgame breakdowns, and transfer portal analysis.
In May 2025, Field graduated from Rice University, where he double majored in Finance and Sport Analytics while minoring in Data Science. At Rice, Field was a Team Manager for the Rice Men's Basketball Team leading practice, travel, and gameday operations. Field also served as the President of Men's Basketball Analytics for Rice Sport Analytics Team (RSAT), where he equipped Rice's coaching staff with basketball analysis that helped them understand practice performance and upcoming opponents.
