Coppola originally joined DAPER in 2024-25 as the Coordinator of Club Sports, Intramurals and Day Camp. He also served as a volunteer assistant with the women's soccer program during the 2025 season.

As Coordinator of Intramural Sports, Club Sports and Day Camp, Coppola was responsible for the planning, scheduling, and facilitation of more than 700 games annually across basketball, soccer, esports, and other activities, including space reservations, student engagement, on-site operations, and staff coordination. He also assisted with varsity event management, operating A/V equipment, assigning volunteers, and supporting teams and officials. In addition, he oversaw all intramural activities, serving more than 2,300 unique students across approximately 400 teams annually.

Coppola was responsible for evening and weekend operations, and acted as a steward of facility staff. Additionally, he designed the Connect2 system to track club sport participants in alignment with DAPER software and created dashboards to visualize participation trends and identify opportunities for external revenue generation. He also assisted with the year-long planning process, hiring of 50 staff members, and day-to-day operations of MIT's seven-week summer day camp, collaborating with DFT and Health & Safety to develop workflows and coordinate emergency response plans.
